Nomad Technics Appoints Thomas Gierlich as New CEO

Nomad Technics has appointed Thomas Gierlich as the company’s new chief executive officer and accountable manager. Gierlich is part of the Nomad Aviation management team where he will be in charge of the group’s maintenance entity Nomad Technics AG in Basel / Switzerland.

Gierlich has more than 15 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and business aviation in particular. He joined Nomad Technics in 2021 as director maintenance sales. In this capacity, Gierlich has been instrumental in driving the company's growth forward by building lasting relationships with existing and new clients and thereby securing key maintenance projects. Prior to that, Gierlich held various positions in Sales, Customer Support and Business Development at Honeywell, EMTEQ and SR Technics. He holds a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technical University of Munich/Germany.

Nomad Technics AG, the maintenance division of Nomad Aviation AG based at the EuroAirport in Basel/Switzerland, is an EASA Part-145 approved organization providing maintenance inspection and non-routine repair work on Bombardier, Embraer Legacy business jets and performs line and base maintenance work on the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737NG series aircraft.
