RS&H has hired Brent Goetz as senior aviation environmental specialist and project manager. Goetz brings nearly 15 years of environmental experience, including four years of brownfield remediation and ecological assessment consulting and more than 10 years of regulatory compliance assurance working with multiple programs within the Ohio EPA.
Goetz joins RS&H’s Aviation Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency Service Group, which is focused on providing comprehensive sustainability, regulatory compliance, and resiliency consulting services to airports nationwide.
“Brent’s regulatory knowledge and experience in working with businesses to help comply with environmental regulations, combined with his prior environmental consulting experience, will be invaluable in helping our aviation clients succeed in bringing together their financial, environmental, and social goals while developing resilient infrastructure that will meet the demands of the future,” said RS&H Vice President John Lengel.
Most recently, Goetz served as a supervisor in Ohio EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention program. In this role, he helped businesses understand their regulatory responsibilities, assisted them in compliance, and then tied in cost-effective sustainability-based solutions to compliance. Additionally, Goetz looked at new and existing state and federal regulations to help establish new, efficient approaches to achieving compliance and develop more business-friendly regulations.
“My time in Ohio EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention – helping the businesses understand their compliance obligations and then take the next steps into sustainability – was very rewarding,” he said. “I look forward to helping airports across the U.S. meld their environmental compliance obligations into sustainable solutions that will carry them far into the future.”
