Paradies Lagardère announced that Mike Barnes has joined the company as regional vice president. He will report to Jeff Flowers, senior vice president, operations and loss prevention.
In his role, Barnes will identify and facilitate initiatives that support Paradies Lagardère’s growth strategies, and manage retail operations on the east coast. “As Paradies Lagardère continues to successfully grow its travel retail business in airports throughout North America, we look to industry veterans such as Mike to help with these efforts,” said Flowers. “Mike has extensive expertise in the retail industry, and we look forward to his contributions.”
Barnes has close to 30 years of retail experience in leadership positions. He started his career with the Target Corp., with increasing responsibilities and leadership roles, later moving on to the Gap Inc. Working for Old Navy, Barnes managed retail operations, staff and IT. Prior to joining Paradies Lagardère, he held vice president and general manager positions where he led store operations, marketing initiatives, product and inventory management, and e-commerce objectives for Canada, Mexico and China.
