House Panel Rejects Trump’s Effort to Raise TSA Fees, Kill USA Tourism Program

The House Appropriations Committee released a bill on Tuesday that rejects President Trump’s efforts to raise Transportation Security Administration (TSA) fees and eliminate a U.S. tourism marketing program — two proposals that have worried travel advocates.

The panel’s Department of Homeland Security spending measure for fiscal 2018 includes $7.2 billion for TSA, which is a nearly $200 million decrease from current levels.
