Midcoast will sell and install the ARINC SKYLink ultra-high speed broadband communications solution for business aircraft

Annapolis, Maryland, USA, March 28, 2006 — ARINC Direct today announced it has signed a SKYLink distribution agreement with Midcoast Aviation, one of the country’s leading independent aircraft maintenance, modification, and completion providers. Under the agreement, Midcoast will sell and install the ARINC SKYLink ultra-high speed broadband communications solution for business aircraft.

"Midcoast is consistently one of the top-rated aircraft service companies in the country," stated Dave Poltorak, ARINC Vice President, Business Aviation Solutions. "We are delighted they will be helping us introduce the benefits of SKYLink to a major new customer group."

"At Midcoast we have the finest people, most extensive facilities and the greatest depth of proven performance in the industry," said Blake Hogge, director, avionics sales for Midcoast. "SKYLink complements our goal of providing the leading edge in aircraft and customer service since it has helped open the way to high-speed broadband communications in flight."

SKYLink satellite broadband service turns a business aircraft into a fully connected "office in the sky," with ultra-high speed network service from the airport ramps to cruising altitude. SKYLink takes full advantage of Ku-band satellite capacity to offer a wide range of data-intensive business applications, including high-speed Internet access, E-mail, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and corporate Intranet access. Also just announced are new Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony and fully-managed Fax over IP (FoIP) services.

SKYLink service is now operational over North America, with service for European countries, the Middle East, and the North Atlantic flight tracks anticipated in 2006.
