New Bern, NC - Eastern Aviation Fuels, the exclusive distributor of Shell branded aviation fuels in the United States, is pleased to announce that it is doubling the amount of its contribution to the Gary Steele Scholarship fund. Beginning in 2015, the scholarship will be awarded to both a male and female student. “We are excited to continue to support the aviation students of Embry-Riddle as well as continue to honor Gary’s legacy,” says Eastern Aviation Fuels President, Robbie Stallings.
In 2013, the Florida Aviation Business Association (FABA) and Eastern Aviation Fuels established the Gary Steele Scholarship Fund as part of the FABA Scholarship Program.
Gary Steele, a longtime supporter of FABA, passed away in 2012 at the age of 69. Steele served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and was the airport manager for Charlotte County Airport Authority in Punta Gorda, Florida.
