PRISM ARMOR Enters Strategic Relationship with The MITRE Corporation, Joins ASIAS
PRISM ARMOR is now a participating platform for report submissions into the (Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing) ASIAS program (www.asias.aero).
ASIAS, a joint government-industry collaborative information sharing program administered by The MITRE Corporation (www.mitre.org) and funded by the FAA, serves as a central conduit for the exchange of safety information among its stakeholders, providing a valuable resource for the aviation community. The ASIAS vision is focused on the establishment of a comprehensive network of safety information sources shared by aviation operators supporting the National Airspace System (NAS).
The primary objective of ASIAS is to provide a national resource for use in discovering common, systematic safety problems that span multiple operations and regions of the airspace. Safety information through ASIAS activities is used across the aviation industry to illuminate improvements and support Safety Management Systems.
“Every business aviation flight operation should consider joining ASIAS not only to share information via safety reports, but to also gain the benefits of access to troves of directed studies, safety metrics, industry benchmarking and vulnerability discoveries,” said Vice President of PRISM, Steve Witowski. “The value of gaining insight into previously unknown issues or accident precursors goes beyond measure.”
