Santa Rosa, CA – October 10, 2017 -- Sonoma Jet Center, a Signature Select FBO and the preferred fixed base operator (FBO) serving business and general aviation at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (KSTS) announces a $10,000 commitment and establishes a fund to support colleagues who suffered losses in the northern California wildfires.
Sonoma Jet Center is located in the heart of northern California’s Sonoma and Napa wine country. Recent wildfires, fueled by unusually high winds and low humidity, have spread rapidly through much of northern California. At press time, at least eight fires continue burning totaling more than 80,000 acres with little or no containment. Fortunately, wildfires have only minimally impacted KSTS operations with power outages and poor visibility. Sonoma Jet Center has been fully operational and supporting all aviation and relief operations.
Sonoma Jet Center has grown to have over 40 amazing team members and countless customers that we consider our airport family. As of today, at least three of our team members experienced total loss of their home and belongings. In an effort to help these colleagues and our airport family, Sonoma Jet Center has established a relief fund to support their rebuilding efforts. “Our entire community is just beginning to understand the level of devastation caused by these wildfires and we want to help where we can,” says Josh Hochberg, Owner and President of Sonoma Jet Center.
