NEW CANAAN, Conn., March 16, 2018 – APP Jet Center, an operator of FBOs (Fixed Based Operations) and aviation real estate, is pleased to announce that APP Jet Center Hayward, its FBO at Hayward Executive Airport in Hayward, Calif., has achieved Stage I IS-BAH (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) certification, a highly regarded safety program administered by the International Business Aircraft Council (IBAC).
IBAC awarded the certification after conducting an audit of APP Hayward to validate and approve ground handling procedures; safety programs; risk assessment processes; employee culture; and overall safety commitment to clients and employees.

Launched in 2014, the IS-BAH program is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers. According to the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), IS-BAH follows the long established structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit program. It addresses all aspects of FBO operations with heavy focus on risk mitigation and assessment.
APP Jet Center's FBO in Manassas, Va., earned Stage I IS-BAH status in October, and its FBO in Fort Pierce, Fla., is on track to do so this year as well. The company expects all three of its locations to achieve Stage II IS-BAH certification within the next two years.
