“To be an integral part of making a traveling experience run more smoothly motivates me,” Luna said. “I have always enjoyed traveling but hadn’t given thought to the work behind the scenes.”
In 2021, Luna joined Daifuku as an Associate Project Manager and quickly advanced to Project Manager, where he now oversees multiple high-value projects. His portfolio includes contracts worth over $200 million, all managed with a focus on staying under budget and on time. Luna is highly regarded for building strong, trustworthy relationships with both clients and team members, ensuring adherence to project schedules while maintaining stakeholder engagement.
Luna’s commitment to the industry is evident through his active participation in the International Association of Baggage System Companies (IABSC) Young Professionals team. He regularly attends industry conferences to stay informed on trends and best practices, always eager to network and learn from peers. In pursuit of continuous personal and professional growth, Luna earned his MBA from Ball State University in 2022, followed by a Project Management Certificate from Cornell University in 2023. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), further cementing his expertise in delivering successful outcomes for his clients.
“The Airport Industry is certainly a small world and I aim to create a positive impact on all stakeholders I encounter. I want to retain as much knowledge as I can from anyone willing to give it, and then articulate that to those entering the airport business” Luna said. “I plan to be a good follower and an even better leader within the industry. Lastly, I want to be known as someone who you want on your team when the outcome is adverse.”
