Nickols’ career began as a construction inspector at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, where he worked on large projects and studied for his Professional Engineer (PE) license. Now, he manages projects exceeding $20 million in construction value, bringing a work ethic shaped by early career experience and commitment. He is known for mentoring young engineers and encouraging a collaborative, supportive work environment. Nickols also organizes team-building activities, strengthening relationships among colleagues and project partners.
A strong advocate for industry advancement, Nickols actively participates in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Florida Airports Council (FAC), where he has presented on topics such as pavement design.
