Age 30
Lauren LaSalle, ENV SP, is the West Region Aviation Business Development Manager at AECOM, where she has established herself as a dynamic leader in the aviation industry. Since joining AECOM in 2016 as a recent graduate with a civil engineering background, LaSalle’s dedication and collaborative approach have driven her rapid advancement from technical roles to project management and business development. Her early career involved working on the North Satellite Modernization Project at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which sparked her passion for aviation and its multi-disciplinary, fast-paced challenges.
“My motivation to succeed in the aviation industry mirrors my approach to life—always striving to leave things better than they were and making the most of any situation,” she said. “I believe that true progress comes from the continuous pursuit of improvement, not only in technical skills but also in the way we treat and inspire others. Even the energy we bring to the smallest interaction is an opportunity to improve another person's perspective or our own.”
LaSalle’s achievements include her role as deputy project manager at King County International Airport and later as an Office Engineer on the Taxiway B5 Rehabilitation Project at San Francisco International Airport, a project completed ahead of schedule and under budget, earning the International Partnering Award in 2021. Her skills in coordination and communication have allowed her to navigate complex logistics, and her project management certification in 2022 enabled her to lead her first independently won project.
An Envision Sustainability Professional, LaSalle actively promotes a culture of inclusion at AECOM as part of the Seattle office’s Great Place to Work (GP2W) committee, organizing events that foster community spirit. Her commitment to professional development extends to her industry involvement with the Airports Consultant Council (ACC) and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), where she has held several leadership roles focused on young professionals, such as her recent position as Northwest AAAE Chapter YoPro Chair.
LaSalle’s dedication to connecting, mentoring, and building community within aviation highlights her as a passionate and influential leader, committed to both industry advancement and the success of those around her.
