Drifter Vasser, who graduated from Spartan College, previously worked in Phoenix, AZ on Bell 204, 205, 212 helicopters and currently overhauling components from Bell 204, 205, 212, 412 aircraft and various Airbus components. He has also completed training for Bell 412 Field Maintenance and Overhaul course. Previously, he was in the Marines from 2006 to 2011 as a helicopter dynamic component repair mechanic.
“Drifter Vasser is a hard working, well-liked individual who gets along with all his co-workers and anyone else he comes into contact with," explained Brandon Keesee, Vasser’s supervisor and overhaul shop coordinator at Uniflight Global. “He is truly someone who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else out and is always willing to work or teach someone something he knows.” Keesee says Vasser is a young man who is always on time, has come from a Military background and is adapting quickly to the civilian side of the business. “Drifter will be a great asset in aviation going forward,” noted Keesee. “He wants to learn and become the best he can at everything he does. These type of individuals are the ones you look for when you are teaching the next generation coming up; he will be a leader and influencer in a good way for everyone around him as he grows in aviation. His safe work ethic and attention to detail will help him to excel in anything he pursues in his career going forward.”
Drifter has only been working at Uniflight Global for one year. He was hired to work the overhaul shop where he had prior experience. “In his time here at Uniflight he has not only showed his knowledge but has also excelled in learning different aircraft models of components,” explained Joe Noland, Uniflight’s director of maintenance. “He is also willing to work in the hangar where he has gained experience on Airbus, Bell, Leonardo and MD helicopters. Drifter is a big asset to the Uniflight family.” Vasser’s next career goal is to get his Inspection Authorization.
