Aug. 20, 2024

Lauren Kimberly's journey in aviation began while flying with her father in their Cessna 150 when she was a child.

“Aviation has let me touch the clouds,” Kimberly said. “Watching Rockets shoot up to space, drones flying packages. I'm excited to be a part of the future look of aviation. I love watching little kids look up and see these machines flying.”

Kimberly's determination is particularly remarkable given the challenges she has faced. Several years ago, she lost her older sister to cancer and had to drop out of Embry-Riddle. She returned home, enrolled in an A&P program, and obtained her Powerplant license. She is now completing her Airframe certification and finishing her degree at Embry-Riddle online.

Her perseverance through personal tragedy and her commitment to her goals are admirable. Kimberly's maturity and resilience make her an inspiring figure in the aviation industry.

Her story is a testament to her strength and unwavering spirit. Kimberly's dedication to her education and career, despite the significant challenges she has faced, sets her apart. She exemplifies the qualities of determination, resilience, and commitment to excellence. Her journey reflects a deep passion for aviation and a resolve to achieve her goals, making her a deserving candidate for recognition in her field.
