Netflix Is Offering To Pay a Flight Attendant up to $385K
Calling all flight attendants! get ready to submit your resumes.
Netflix is hiring a flight attendant for one of its private jets - with the successful applicant to join it’s “dream crew” and get paid as much as $385,000 (£313,538) a year, according to reports from Yahoo and CNBC.
In addition to normal responsibilities such as performing pre-flight cabin inspections and conducting safety briefings, the streaming giant says it is looking for candidates with “independent judgement, discretion and outstanding customer service skills” and should also be able to “operate with little direction and a lot of self-motivation.”
Not to mention the new attendant will be responsible for maintaining the stockroom, Yahoo reported.
The primary flight attendant – who will be required to travel in and beyond the US for the role – will be for one of its super midsize private jets based out of San Jose, Calif. near the company’s Los Gatos headquarters, according to CNBC.
“The overall market range for this role is typically $60,000 - $385,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy,” Netflix said in a job listing on its website.
The company also said it determines an employee’s salary by considering “compensation factors” such as their background, experience and skills while qualified candidates are expected to be able to help Netflix Aviation provide “confidential air transportation” and should be able to perform their jobs with “discretion.”
The average salary for flight attendants in the US is just over $62,000 a year, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
