ExecuJet Europe and Shell Aviation Launch New Frankfurt FBO Facility

Nov. 14, 2011
The new partnership at Frankfurt stems from the strong and proven working relationship between ExecuJet and Shell Aviation.

ExecuJet and Shell Aviation are delighted to announce the opening of their Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility in Frankfurt. Business will officially commence on 01 December 2011, taking the total number of ExecuJet FBOs in Europe to ten (Zurich, Berlin, Cambridge, Paris in partnership with Advanced Air Support, Barcelona, Palma, Gerona, Valencia, Ibiza). This will also mark the entry of Shell on the General Aviation (GA) Apron in Frankfurt, and is the second such collaboration between ExecuJet and Shell in Germany.

The Frankfurt FBO boasts a centrally located, elegant customer lounge situated adjacent to the entrance to the General Aviation Terminal, offering the shortest route to the aircraft. All the furniture in the private lounge is top quality De Sede, in line with ExecuJet’s corporate style. The facility also provides a separate crew area with computer, printer and free wlan internet access. Refreshments are available for passengers and crew and arrangements can be made for catering, passenger and crew transportation and hotel accommodation with preferential rates for ExecuJet clients.

A highly experienced and motivated team of four will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Frankfurt facility. Aircraft cleaning can be arranged and in future a dedicated water and toilet service will be available with a short lead time.

Cedric Migeon, Managing Director of ExecuJet Europe said: “The opening of our Frankfurt facility supports our existing customer base and is a key part of our development plan. The base will be managed locally by Marcel Hellmann.”

Strong relationship with Shell

The new partnership at Frankfurt stems from the strong and proven working relationship between ExecuJet and Shell Aviation. ExecuJet and Shell Aviation recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Berlin Schönefeld FBO, which provides fast and exclusive VIP passenger handling for all arriving and departing business aircraft at the airport. In May of this year, Shell awarded ExecuJet the Gold Fuelling Award for excellence in health, safety, security and environmental performance at the Berlin Schönefeld FBO .

The Frankfurt General Aviation Apron will be Shell Aviation’s 23rd operating location in Germany and its 6th dedicated General Aviation service. It will provide Shell Aviation fuel for Shell customers holding a fuel&fly card, supply contract or credit card, affording valuable time saving benefits to business aviation clients as well as a high level of service.

“Shell Aviation’s dedicated GA operation in Frankfurt will run independently of the main apron and will provide customers quick access to fuel even during peak times. We have chosen ExecuJet as a partner for this location because we are impressed by their safety record, their quality of service as well as their deep understanding of the General Aviation market” said Petra Koselka, General Manager, Shell Aviation Europe.
