Cutter Aviation Names Phil Scharber and John DeLawyer HondaJet Southwest Exclusive Regional Sales Managers

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 22nd, 2015 – HondaJet Southwest, announces that Phil Scharber and John DeLawyer will now be exclusively representing HondaJet sales.  The innovative HondaJet will begin deliveries in early 2015.  These two highly experienced sales professionals will focus on marketing and selling this new aircraft to customers in their respective territories.  Phil Scharber’s area includes Southern California, Hawaii and Clark County NV (Las Vegas) while John DeLawyer’s focus will be in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.  (Company President Will Cutter will continue responsibility for sales in Arizona).

Phil Scharber began his aircraft sales career in Southern California in the mid-1990s with United Beechcraft and he later switched to selling Piper Aircraft in Southern California. Relocating to the Southeast, Phil continued selling Piper Aircraft in Tennessee, Georgia and Florida for many years. In 2006 Phil joined the Cutter Aviation aircraft sales team as a Regional Aircraft Sales Manager in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Cutter Piper Sales in Southern California in 2010. Phil is an FAA Licensed Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings. He has over 6,000 hours of flight experience and brings many years of aircraft sales experience to HondaJet Southwest.

John DeLawyer began his aviation sales career in 1995 with Diamond Aircraft Sales in Austin, TX.  Two years later, John joined Cutter Aviation aircraft sales representing the Mooney and Aviat Husky aircraft lines.  John was promoted to Piper Aircraft Regional Sales Manager covering Cutter Aviation’s South Texas territory in 2000. John is an FAA Licensed Commercial Pilot with Mutli and Single-Engine ratings with Instrument Ratings on each as well as a FAA Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument.  John has accumulated over 6,000 hours of flight experience in a wide array of aircraft types and flight environments.
