Bombardier and SEA Prime Sign Agreement to Open a New Bombardier Line Maintenance Station at Milano Linate Prime
Milano, March, 9th 2017 SEA Prime, the company managing the Fixed Based Operations (FBO) in Milano Linate Prime and soon operating in Milano Malpensa, and Bombardier have signed an agreement to open a new Bombardier Line Maintenance Station within SEA Prime’s facilities at Milano Linate Prime as a part of Bombardier’s establishment of five new line maintenance stations across Europe.
Bombardier will provide line maintenance services for Bombardier Learjet*, Challenger* and Global* aircraft in Milano Linate Prime. This agreement with Bombardier reflects the industry trend of manufacturers being at the forefront in the provision of maintenance services, given the rapid evolution of the technologies used in the production of aircraft. It further confirms the leading international role that Milano Linate Prime has achieved since the relaunch of the company’s business aviation activities in 2015.
Chiara Dorigotti, General Manager of SEA Prime, said: "We are delighted that a market leader such as Bombardier has chosen Milano Linate Prime to establish its presence in Italy. Since the launch of our industrial plan, in parallel with major investments in infrastructure, as the construction of the tenth hangar of over 3,600 square meters and the development of exclusive and high level services for both passengers and crews, we have worked on boosting the development of maintenance services as a new growth driver. The presence of a Bombardier Line Maintenance Station in Milano Linate Prime will bring further added value for our customers and confirms Milano Linate Prime as an attractive hub for international investments and partnerships.”
SEA Prime SpA was born in 2015 following the acquisition by SEA SpA in December 2013, the rebranding of the company and the restyling in the FBO of Milano Linate Prime. SEA Prime manages all airport facilities including terminal, ten hangars, the lounge passengers and crews and the BMW Business Center. Milano Linate Prime, the first FBO in Italy with more than 22,600 movements in 2015, operates an apron of about 67,000 sqms, 10 hangars for over 22,000 sqms, as well as a fuel depot for refueling operations.
