Gulfstream Names Mark Bates GM at Palm Beach Site

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently appointed Mark Bates as the general manager of its Palm Beach, Florida, site at Palm Beach International Airport. Bates reports to Joe Rivera, vice president, Service Center Operations, Gulfstream.    

Bates' responsibilities will be to oversee and lead all aspects of Gulfstream Palm Beach, a company-owned maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Gulfstream aircraft. The operation has more than 110 employees.

Related Experience: More than 40 years in aviation, including the last four as a Gulfstream service team manager focused on large-cabin aircraft in Savannah. Duties included working with customers to deliver aircraft maintenance and inspection packages. Also held leadership positions at other companies, including BAE Systems, where he was a site manager for the Royal Australian Air Force Fast-Jet Service Center in Perth.
