HOK has announced new leadership appointments to support clients in its global Aviation and Transportation market. Paul Auguste, AIA, NOMA, a principal based in the firm’s New York studio, and Matt Needham, AIA, LEED GA, a principal in San Francisco, have joined Robert Chicas, AIA, LEED AP (New York), and Kaven Swan (St. Louis) as firm-wide directors of HOK’s Aviation and Transportation practice.
“We have appointed Paul and Matt to these leadership positions in anticipation of future growth in our dynamic aviation and transportation markets,” said Carl Galioto, FAIA, HOK’s president.
Auguste is HOK’s design manager for LaGuardia Airport’s $4 billion new Terminal B project, the largest public-private partnership in U.S. aviation history. With the recent opening of the 850,000-sq.-ft. Arrivals and Departures Hall, the project is now 80% complete and on schedule for completion in 2022. He also has led teams in significant projects at Washington Dulles International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Needham brings expertise in all types of aviation planning, design and development. His recent projects include overseeing HOK’s planning and design services for the new $4.1 billion Salt Lake City International Airport, which opened in Sept. 2020, as well as major projects at San Francisco International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
“I’ve worked with Paul and Matt for many years on significant projects like LaGuardia Airport’s new Terminal B and the new Salt Lake City Airport,” said Chicas. “I’m confident that their leadership will help us support our clients with industry-leading planning and design services as their needs continue to evolve.”
