Bobrick Announces Corporate Leadership Transition
Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. has announced that Mark Louchheim, who has served as the company’s President since 1991, will transition to chairman and CEO. Matthew Louchheim, previously vice president of corporate development and general manager of Toilet Partitions, will assume the role of president.
“It has been a privilege to lead Bobrick for the past 29 years,” said Mark Louchheim. “I am grateful to our employees, customers and partners for their dedication in growing and evolving our business.”
Throughout his tenure, Mark Louchheim helped Bobrick build on its leadership position in the commercial restroom product category. The company expanded into new market segments, developed new North American manufacturing capabilities and made substantial investments in management development and product research.
His leadership was instrumental in Bobrick’s 2004 acquisition of Koala Kare Products, 2006 acquisition of GAMCO Commercial Restroom Accessories and 2018 acquisition of United Kingdom-based toilet cubicle manufacturer Thrislington Cubicles. In 2015, Bobrick relocated to new, state-of-the-art corporate offices in North Hollywood, CA. The company has remained privately held and family owned throughout.
“Matthew is uniquely qualified to lead our growing global company into the future,” continued Mark Louchheim. “He has first-hand experience with every facet of the business, from sales to operations, and the character and acumen to take on complex challenges.”
Matthew Louchheim represents the fourth generation of Louchheims to lead the company since Mark Louchheim’s grandfather, William S. Louchheim, Sr., purchased Bobrick in 1946.
Matthew Louchheim holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Yale University and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University. Prior to joining Bobrick in 2010, he worked at Boston Consulting Group and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). At Bobrick, he led the development of premium, European-inspired toilet cubicles brand PRIVADA, served as national architectural sales manager and most recently oversaw the integration of Thrislington Cubicles into Bobrick’s business operations.
“I am thrilled to lead this incredible, historic company,” said Matthew Louchheim. “Bobrick’s future is bright thanks to my father’s visionary leadership, which he built upon the legacy of prior generations. I am humbled by their contributions and ready to embrace the challenge while advancing hygiene, sustainability and privacy in the commercial restroom.”
As part of the announced leadership changes, Brendan Cherry, previously vice president of sales, will assume the role of president, Koala Kare Products.
Bobrick was founded in 1906. Today, its business operations extend into 85 markets worldwide, with seven manufacturing divisions across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
