With End-of-Year Jet Acquisitions Ventura Air Services Doubles its Fleet of Charter Aircraft During 2020
FARMINGDALE, NY — January 28, 2021 — Fueled by optimism for the continued demand for private chartered flights in 2021 and beyond, Ventura Air Services today announced it is adding two additional jets to its existing fleet, according to Nick Tarascio, CEO of the Farmingdale, NY-based aviation services company. In 2020, the company added five aircraft, doubling its fleet of jet charter aircraft.
The latest additions to Ventura’s fleet are two Cessna Citation Excel 560 midsize jets. Each plane can accommodate seven passengers and have a maximum range of 1,657 miles, with a top cruising speed of 487 miles-per-hour. In November 2020, Ventura added two Bombardier Challenger 604 10-passenger large-cabin jets and its first Cessna Citation Excel midsize jet. The new planes bring the number of Ventura’s fleet of jets to ten to serve a growing market for private flights throughout North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
“We remain optimistic about the continuing relative strength in the private aviation sector, along with our company’s demonstrated growth and aggressive expansion plans for 2021 and beyond,” said Mr. Tarascio. “As commercial aviation continues to struggle, our sector has seen a rapid rebound as more people turn to private charter flights because of lingering concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and the overall convenience of reaching one’s destination in a relatively hassle-free manner.”
Ventura is also a leading provider of on-demand organ transport flights in partnership with several New York-area health systems. Ventura’s expansion plans also include an increase in organ transplant flights and the newest additions to the company’s fleet will help attain those goals, according to Mr. Tarascio.
