Barton (Bart) Gover has joined RS&H as vice president in the Aviation Planning Service Group (APSG). In this new role, Bart focuses on business development, employee mentorship and project leadership.
Bart has more than 24 years of experience in airport planning and project management for commercial service and general aviation airports. He is well-informed on aviation industry trends and practices and follows industry news feeds and federal regulations. His airport planning experience spans from airport master plans and airport feasibility studies to environmental assessments and airport site selection studies. Most of these projects contained significant elements of airfield planning such as runway length analysis, aviation forecasting, facility requirements, alternatives analysis, environmental overview, airport plans development, airport capital improvement plans and land use planning.
He is an active member of aviation industry organizations including American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International- North America, Florida Airports Council, North Carolina Aviation Association, Kentucky Aviation Association, South Carolina Aviation Association, and Airport Consultants Council (ACC) where he served as Committee Chair for the 2021 ACC/AAAE Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium. He has also served as an airport board member for the Danville-Boyle County Airport (DVK) for twelve years.
