Tuskegee Airmen exhibit will have tour opportunities available at no charge to school groups or youth related organizations in the days leading up to Atlanta Warbird Weekend. This is a wonderful opportunity for youth in the community to interact and connect with the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen in a very real way. The tours are guided and include a short documentary, discussion/answer time, and viewing of the P-51C Red Tail Mustang.
We currently still have many open slots on both Thursday and Friday, October 5 & 6. Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett Counties will all be on fall break the week of the Rise Above exhibit. So, we are looking to share this opportunity with additional school systems and youth organizations.
The exhibit will be at Dekalb-Peachtree Airport. The typical tour length is 20-30 minutes in length. Tour slots are limited to 40 people per slot and are throughout the day from 9am to 4pm. The tour is appropriate for any young people from kindergarten through high school.
If you know of a school or organization that would be interested in this free educational opportunity, please feel free to share this information with them. They will need to contact Angela Decker (flycafairways@gmail.com ) for further information and to schedule their tour slots. A scheduled time is required to attend.
