The first of twelve Brazilian Air Force C-130 aircraft for a Full Fleet Support Program arrived last Thursday to OGMA’s facilities, in Alverca, Portugal. This is the first step of several that will be taken during the next five years regarding fleet management and logistics support for the Brazilian Air Force C-130 fleet.
This contract includes fleet management, logistics support, maintenance checks, repair and replacement of equipment and supply of components. The scope of this agreement includes aircraft operated by Brazilian Air Force, based in Rio de Janeiro: eight C-130H aircraft, two C-130H2 aircraft (with aerial firefighting equipment) and two KC-130H aircraft (air refueling aircraft).

The Portuguese company surpassed the competition in an international tender promoted by the Brazilian Aeronautical Commission, based in Washington (USA). The contract represents about 85 million euros (98 million USD) for OGMA and will last for five years.
OGMA’s award for maintenance contract by the Brazilian Air Force shows worldwide recognition of OGMA’s know-how in this particular aircraft type, built on over 40 years experience supported by highly skilled technicians prepared to promptly respond to a wide variety of maintenance requirements.
OGMA provides maintenance services to C-130 aircraft for several Air Forces around the world, namely in Europe, Africa and Asia.
