WASP custom designed the MHU-226 Munitions Trailer for the Defense Department to transport ordnance to the flight line for fighter aircraft support. The unique design allows it to accomplish work previously done by multiple trailers. Three-door design increases load capability and versatility. Payload capacity is 12,000 lbs. and it travels 15 mph loaded, 30 mph unloaded. The MHU-226 boasts dampened leaf spring suspension system, double Ackerman (four wheel coordinated) steering, hydraulic disc brakes and parking brake system on all four wheels, and breakaway braking system for attachment to the vehicle.
