Torque equipment specialist Hydratight has launched its Sweeney brand digital torque multiplier series. The tooling will be used to service aircraft in the military and civilian markets. Complete with a high resolution 7 inch Android tablet display, the multipliers will increase accuracy and control during all operations. The series has been launched in 1,000 and 5,000 ft.-lb. models, with a third 2,200 ft.-lb. model also in development. The equipment is used on many aircraft turbine types in combination with accessories including anchors and sockets, work handles, slings and pneumatic and mechanical tools, all to Hydratight or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
