Paris, Amstelveen, 19 June 2018 – Barfield, the US bridgehead of AFI KLM E&M’s global MRO network, has announced the signing of a regional distribution agreement with Falgayras SAS, a cutting-edge mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering OEM located at the heart of the aviation cluster around Toulouse in southern France. This is an exclusive multi-year agreement involving a selection of Falgayras products, and in particular windscreen wiper systems (wiper arms, blades and motors) fitted as original equipment to many Bombardier CSeries and Mitsubishi MRJ family aircraft, as well as Airbus Helicopter helicopters.
This latest partnership strengthens Barfield’s growth strategy in the area of aircraft component distribution – one of the company’s three businesses along with maintenance services and the supply of Ground Support Test Equipment (GSTE). Barfield already markets a wide range of aircraft parts in the Americas under partnerships with reputed OEMs, including Stelia, Airbus EAP, and Siemens Elta.
Christophe Falgayras, Chairman and CEO of Falgayras SAS, said: “Falgayras is proud of this new partnership with Barfield. It is designed to improve the effectiveness of our service by shortening our response times and sharing our North American and European customer portfolios. Our respective customers will therefore be the big winners under this agreement.”
Barfield’s Lew Wingate, Vice President GSTE and Distribution, added: “We turned to Falgayras due to the high quality of its products, acknowledged by leading aircraft and helicopter manufacturers worldwide. Falgayras components will form a highly complementary fit for the extensive catalogue of solutions distributed by Barfield. This agreement will enable us to better serve our existing customers, and also to reach out to potential new ones, especially operators of CSeries family fleets.”
