LAS VEGAS, Nev., March 5, 2013 – Able Aerospace Services, an MRO service and PMA parts provider, and one of the world’s largest helicopter repair facilities, today announced expanded repair and overhaul capabilities and numerous new PMA parts available for Agusta AW139, Bell 206, Bell 407 and Sikorsky S76 helicopter fleets. Able Aerospace Services will display an array of rotorcraft components in exhibit C1223 during Heli-Expo 2013, March 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
New Able proprietary Value-Driven PMA parts for Bell 206 and Bell 407 include Main Rotor Strap Fitting and Pin replacement, Main Rotor Control Spacer, Shear Bearing and Lead Lag Bearing. In addition, new Pitch Link Assembly components and Main Rotor Head Assembly components are now available for AW139s. All Able PMA parts are competitively priced, and by utilizing Able Value-Driven solutions, operators can save up to 50 percent over OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) pricing.
Able Aerospace Services repairs and overhauls parts for rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft, specializing in FAA-approved repair alternatives to buying new parts. By offering over 8,000 safe, certified component repairs, fleet operators and owners can save tens of thousands of dollars on parts that are of the same or better form, fit and function than new OEM parts. “We are proud to provide safe, FAA-certified, reliable repairs and replacement parts to our customers while continuing to lower the cost of the complete overhaul process,” said Lee Benson, chief executive officer of Able. “Combined with our other PMA, repair, and overhaul solutions, we are greatly reducing aircraft operating costs for fleet owners and operators.”
Several new initiatives have further decreased repair turn-times and lowered overall component repair costs for customers. Able’s Fleet Analysis program anticipates customer needs based on fleet makeup, flight hours, historical repairs and requirements. A large exchange pool of parts, for example, has been especially valuable for fleet customers. Able has developed a robust and diverse exchange pool of fully assembled rotable inventory parts, available to immediately ship world-wide. Other improvements include the optimization of the company’s work-flow processes, netting significant reductions in delivery times while streamlining the steps needed for moving parts through the repair process. “Our focused efforts on cycle-time reduction has allowed us to better manage our flow while continuing to provide world-class quality and delivery of repaired and overhauled component parts to our customers,” said Benson.
