Edmonds Aviation first opened its doors in 2001 at the Batesville Airport in Batesville, AR with David Edmonds as the sole owner. In 2005, Edmonds Aviation moved to the Newport Municipal Airport in Newport, AR with the help of the Newport Economic & Development Commission. For the next 10 years, Edmonds Aviation helped support general aviation in the Northeast Arkansas region.
In 2015, Jonathan Edmonds moved in to a management role and became co-owner. At that same time, the company had an opportunity to move to a larger market in Searcy, AR at the Searcy Municipal Airport. Since then, the company have expanded its capabilities to include business aviation working on turboprops and small jets including Cessna Citation Jets and Beechcraft Premier Jets.
In 2018, Edmonds Aviation received their FAA Repair Station Certificate to expand into avionics services and installations.
Most recently, Edmonds Aviation expanded business to Northeast Arkansas after opening their second location at the Jonesboro Municipal Airport in 2022.
