Orlando, Florida…October 29, 2012… Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company, has been selected by Bombardier* Aerospace to provide engine support at its North American service centers.
The two parties have signed an engine service agreement whereby Dallas Airmotive will support Learjet 30* Series, Learjet 40* Series, Learjet 50* Series, Learjet 60* Series, Challenger 300*, Challenger 600* Series, Global Express*, Global Express XRS*, Global 5000*, and Global 6000* business jets customers.
“Our broad range of Original Equipment Manufacturer engine authorizations enables us to provide a single resource to support the full range of business aircraft currently produced by Bombardier,” commented Hugh McElroy, President of BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group. “Customers will receive consistent, highly experienced service from the industry’s leading independent engine service provider.”
The agreement specifically addresses the following engine service categories: ALF502 (Challenger 600) – line and heavy maintenance; HTF7000 (Challenger 300) – line and minor maintenance to include scheduled borescope inspections, hot section and cold section repairs at BAS locations; PW305A (Learjet 60 Series) – line maintenance, hot section and overhaul; TFE731 (Learjet 30 Series, Learjet 40 Series, Learjet 50 Series) – line and heavy maintenance to include MPI and CZI inspections; BR710 (Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000, Global 6000) – line maintenance; and all levels of service for Honeywell 36 series APU.
In addition to support at the Bombardier service centers, Dallas Airmotive has more than 110 field service technicians capable of assisting operators in the field should the need arise. These technicians are highly mobile and many are supported by the company’s fleet of service vehicles strategically positioned around North America.
“The concept of the mobile service unit that we introduced in 2006 has been a great success story and much emulated by competitors,” continued McElroy. “Our large, trailer-sized mobile units in California, the Northeastern U.S., St. Louis and Florida are dispatched to perform everything from minor service calls to engine and APU changes to hot section inspections. Additionally, our 13 smaller trucks provide local support throughout the U.S.”
