Aviation Technical Services (ATS) announced today that aerospace industry veteran Brian Hirshman is joining the company as President effective May 1, 2015. In his new role as President, Brian will oversee one of North America’s largest and most tenured maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organizations with over 1,500 employees and facilities in Everett and Moses Lake, WA; Kansas City, MO; and Fort Worth, TX.
“Brian’s deep expertise with the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) sector of the aviation industry makes him the perfect fit as we continue to expand our capabilities and integrated solutions that customers require,” said ATS CEO Matt Yerbic. “He is a proven leader who fully understands the importance of quality, safety and innovation which is critical to our future growth.” Hirshman succeeds Yerbic as President of ATS.
In his new role, Hirshman will provide leadership for ATS’ three discrete business units including Airframe, Components and Engineering services, as well as Commercial programs, including sales and marketing.
Hirshman has spent more than 25 years in the aerospace and aviation industry. He has held various senior leadership positions in Operations and Maintenance at well-known airlines including Northwest and Alaska, and most recently as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Southwest. He comes to ATS from an Aerospace consultancy, AeroConsulting Partners, LLC in Dallas, Texas, where he was the Managing Partner.

Hirshman holds a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL, along with an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
