The new company brand comprises our existing AMETEK MRO Miami based business units, Avtech Avionics & Instruments (AAI) and Aero Components International (ACI), and has been established to enhance the services it provides to the industry.
“This strategic action takes place in two phases to streamline and improve our Miami operations, making it easier for our customers to do business with us,” comments Vin Misciagna, Vice President & General Manager of AMETEK MRO. “The creation of AMETEK MRO Florida, Inc., our new Miami based Center of Excellence, confirms our commitment to expand and improve our services to the aviation MRO market.”
“The first phase occurs this month when two of the Miami facilities, ACI and AAI, are encompassed under the new company, providing our customers with a single entity capable of delivering a broad range of integrated services. The management teams of both businesses will oversee the transition to ensure stability and continuity of service for all existing customers. We are confident that this initiative will improve and expand our relationships with those existing customers as well as attract new business,” he adds.
Collectively, AMETEK MRO Florida, Inc. – ACI and AAI, offer high quality and innovative avionics, instrument, radio, fuel, power generation, pneumatics, hydraulics and electromechanical component solutions. “The two businesses are a good fit,” continues Mr. Misciagna. “They share the same management approach and have skilled and experienced personnel working to exceptionally high service levels with the goal of delivering reliability, value and innovation to our customers. Furthermore, each unit’s expertise complements the other so that we can now offer customers a one-stop shop that delivers a broad range of services from one company.”
Phase two occurs this summer with the consolidation of our High Standard Aviation (HSA) business into ACI. “This will happen at an expanded, new facility located in Doral, FL, which will become AMETEK MRO’s North American Center of Excellence for power generation, fuel components, hydraulics and pneumatic system components. This is consistent with AMETEK MRO’s strategy to establish multiple Centers of Excellence in component overhaul and repair.”
