Recently, Ameco finished cabin layout modifications on ten Airbus A330-200s of Air China to cater for the operational requirements in different routes.
Starting from last September, Ameco in its Beijing facility carried out the work in aircraft scheduled C-check layover. After modification, the aircraft can be quickly converted from different cabin layout to meet the market needs for business and economic class. Meanwhile, Ameco also modified entertainment systems, seat powering systems and passenger services systems during the layover. By optimizing working process, the modification turn-around time for each aircraft has been shortened to seven days.
In China, more and more people travel by air. China Air Transport Association’s data shows that during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush of 2017, China civil aviation transported more than 59 million passengers, a 14% growth to last year. Airlines refreshed their cabin interiors to keep up with the competition and attract more passengers. In recent two years, Ameco completed cabin refurbishment and business class modifications for customers from home and abroad. Ameco also completed Sharklet retrofit on Airbus A321 aircraft and winglet modifications on Boeing 767s for fuel cost saving purpose.
