Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC (APS) Earns Five-Year Contract Renewal from Collins Aerospace - AOG Stock Support Agreement
Atibaia, Brazil - Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC (APS), Lake Zurich, IL and Atibaia, Brazil, announced that it has been awarded a five-year contract renewal from Collins Aerospace , a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE-UTX, Cedar Rapids, IA), and a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Specifically, APS Brazil has entered into an Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Stock Support Agreement with Collins Aerospace business unit Goodrich Control Systems (Marston Green, UK) to maintain an in-country pool of Collins engine control components such as computers and other engine buildup components for Rolls Royce Engines on Gulfstream, Bombardier and Embraer business jets.
According to APS Brazil General Manager Fabio Nascimento, “In May 2016, APS Brazil signed a three-year contract with Collins Aerospace. Based on our strong performance, including fast turnaround and overall success of our AOG attendance, that contract has been renewed for the next five-year period through May 2024.” Under the agreement, when a Collins Aerospace customer has any problem related to the covered engine components, APS receives the AOG call and then processes the customer’s order and related documentation either for shipment to the customer’s address or for customer pick-up. APS’ average order turnaround time for Collins Aerospace AOG customers such as Chevron, Embraer, Rolls Royce, Icon, Macbens and JBS is three hours.
After attending to the AOG, APS Brazil receives the damaged core unit which is then shipped back to Collins Aerospace (legacy Goodrich Control Systems) for assessment, repair and ultimate return to APS Brazil to refill the AOG pool.
