Signature Aviation Recognized with a Prestigious ‘A’ Score for its Efforts to Combat Climate Change
Signature Aviation has been granted an "A" grade by the environmental non-profit Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its corporate initiatives to address global sustainability. The inclusion on CDP’s distinguished ‘A List’ recognizes Signature for its considerable efforts towards corporate environmental transparency.
Signature was ranked in the top 270 organizations out of a total 5,800+ that received a score. The ascension to the top 5% of highest performing companies is attributable to concerted efforts towards environmental stewardship by the organization, including commitments to reporting, mitigation, and technology.
Further contributions are provided by the Signature Renew program, a comprehensive initiative by Signature Flight Support to obtain net-zero global emissions by 2050. Embracing sustainable aviation fuels as a core pathway towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Signature Renew also encompasses electrified ground service equipment, LEED certified new construction, and increasing reliance on solar energy to power FBO locations.
“Signature is approaching the impact of climate change from a multitude of angles” remarked Mark Johnstone, chief executive officer, Signature Aviation plc. “We’re proud to achieve an A rating by CDP, which has been made possible by our continuing campaign to reduce carbon emissions on a companywide scale.”
CDP’s annual environmental survey and scoring process is widely recognized as an authentic indicator of corporate commitments to stemming climate change and working towards a greener future. It utilizes a detailed and independent methodology to rate organizations from A to D+.
