RUAG Australia Commemorates 100 Years of Service to the Royal Australian Air Forces’ (RAAF) and 35 Years of MRO and Manufacturing Support
RUAG Australia has supported the RAAF for 35 years with maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and manufacturing support across a range of platforms. To commemorate 35 years of this legendary aircraft RUAG have released 500 Limited Edition scale models (1:69) of the F/A-18 Classic Hornet.
The combat-proven RAAF F/A-18 Classic Hornet has carried out air-to-air fighter missions as well as air-to-ground missions. Its maiden flight was on 18 November 1978 and it has served various international Air Forces around the world including amongst others the Swiss Air Force.
The aerospace grade aluminium scale model is a replica of the real aircraft comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and unique serial number. RUAG Australia have partnered with Soldier On Australia, an organisation committed to enhancing the mental health and well-being of veterans and their families. For every model sold, RUAG Australia will donate $50 to Soldier On Australia, so they can continue supporting veterans and their families through nationwide services, programs and initiatives.
