C&L Aviation Group has purchased ACLAS Technics, a UK-based company that offers structural component repair and overhaul for multiple aircraft types, including ATR 42, ATR 72, P-8 Poseidon, B737, B747, B757, B777, A320, A330 and more. The acquisition by C&L is a continuation of growth plans that includes expanding product and service offerings globally.
“This is another step in the strategy to provide support for multiple aircraft types and we are very excited by the acquisition of ACLAS,” said Chris Kilgour, CEO of C&L Aviation Group. “ACLAS has a great reputation globally and is known for their quality and dependability.”
Charles Henery, ACLAS Technics founder, will remain the managing director at the company. “Since conception, ACLAS Technics has established itself as a market leader in supporting its broad customer base which includes the industry’s largest airlines, aftermarket, MRO and OEMs,” Henery said. “Having recently expanded structural component capability support on the ATR, Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier platforms, we are excited to work with an exceptional group such as C&L Aviation, which brings a global network and exemplary reputation. Together, we can expand our business and offer unrivaled service provision to our current and future customers.”
Over the past several years C&L has continued to build support for the ATR 42 / ATR 72 and has made a concerted effort to be one of the leading providers of ATR parts, services and component repair capabilities globally. This, combined with being a distributor for many OEM products and creating a PMA part manufacturing program, C&L continues to increase its ability to be a full-support partner for ATR operators. The combined capabilities and infrastructure will benefit ATR operators globally, and additionally, will expand offerings on other aircraft types to operators around the world.
