Storm Aviation announces the new management appointment of Kenny Chan as Director of Maintenance. In his new role, Chan will be responsible for the management and development of all line maintenance, light maintenance and AOG services, and reporting directly to Storm Aviation CEO, Thomas Buckley.
Chan joins Storm Aviation from Cathay Pacific Group, where he served as Head of Line Maintenance and was responsible for international line maintenance network covering operations, safety leadership, third-party business, end-to-end supplier management, and business improvement projects.

Chan is an accomplished engineer across the full spectrum of aircraft engineering and a respected industry professional. He started his aviation career as a Graduate Engineer in Cathay Pacific in August 2001, he worked in a wide range of creditable technical and operational roles to develop his industry and operational expertise before moving up to management as Regional Line Maintenance Operations Manager for the airline in 2011.
He is passionate about driving business transformation and the continuous development of the team. During his time is Cathay Pacific, he delivered many successful projects such as LM mobility, APU-less towing, potable water optimization and implementation of regional maintenance base in Taiwan, Shanghai, and Singapore to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity.
Chan earned his master’s and bachelor’s degree from the University of Hong Kong in Mechanical Engineering and in his spare time loves outdoor activities, enjoys football, hiking, and travelling with his family.
