Nuremberg/ Vienna, 25 February 2016 (mk) - A high level of technical expertise, commitment to 24/7 customer support, maximum reliability: these are the strengths which business aviation customers of Aero-Dienst’s Maintenance Line Station in Vienna have valued over the past ten years.

The decisive impulse for establishing the maintenance and service center in 2006 was the desire to offer the Learjet operators then operating from Vienna a more comprehensive technical support of their aircraft. To be able to present the full scope of related services, the company with headquarters in Nuremberg used initially the infrastructure of a local provider.

In the following years, the utilization of the Line Station in Vienna continuously increased. The company’s consistent handling of AOG situations, its rapid response to customer inquiries and the highly professional accomplishment of servicing and maintenance tasks gradually enhanced the excellent reputation of the Vienna location. A further reason for its expansion was the appointment of Aero-Dienst Nuremberg as Bombardier Challenger Authorized Service Facility in 2007, which, in turn, required a better service range for the Challenger jets based at Vienna.

With increasing utilization, also the scope of services provided at the Austrian Aero-Dienst Line Station was extended. In addition to regular servicing and repair jobs, a growing number of small maintenance tasks was requested. Aero-Dienst’s Nuremberg home base benefited from the increased presence in the Austrian capital by expanding its scope of support services for Nuremberg-based customers.

At the end of 2014 Aero-Dienst reorganized its maintenance line services due to a changing competitive environment — for Aero-Dienst Vienna this came as both a challenge and an opportunity. On the one hand, the reorganization required a complete restructuring of its own maintenance and service department; on the other, the opportunity had presented itself to take over the support of Dassault customers based in Vienna and to hire additional human resources in the course of this realignment. Today, no less than five licensed technicians work for Aero-Dienst in Vienna, their extensive know-how covering all of the main services for the current Bombardier and Dassault products.

“We are proud of having established this Vienna Line Station within only 10 years, assuring professionalism, quality and flexibility,” says Christian Weigl, the Vienna Station Manager. “This high-level performance enabled us not only to create a solid and increasing customer-base but also to cope with the challenges of a difficult climate within business aviation.”

For its tenth anniversary, a separate battery and wheel shop is being planned at Vienna Airport. In this way, further service components can be added to the portfolio offered to Aero-Dienst customers.
