Yingling Aviation has been named an authorized Goodrich De-icer Service Center. The designation means Yingling joins the expanding network of installers for the Goodrich line of de-icing systems. Based on more than 80 years of engineering excellence, Goodrich has become the premier OEM de-ice boot provider for regional, business, general aviation and military aircraft platforms. Goodrich De-icers are custom designed, tested, and certified for each aircraft to optimize ice shed performance and minimize intercycle ice.
“We are pleased to join with another outstanding industry leader to ensure the highest quality and most reliable installation of de-icing equipment,” said Jerry Pickett, Yingling’s vice president, business development. “This means we are able to access the products and in-depth factory installation training and expertise provided by Goodrich Aerospace. This agreement obviously provides Goodrich and Collins Aerospace with exposure to our extensive list of customers and aircraft operators developed over 75 years, too.”
Goodrich Aerospace became part of UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) in 2012 when its parent company, United Technologies Corporation merged their existing subsidiaries Hamilton Standard and Goodrich Corporation. In 2018 UTC acquired Rockwell Collins and merged it into UTAS as Collins Aerospace. Goodrich De-icing is now part of Collins Aerospace.
“We’re very pleased to add Yingling to our growing network of Goodrich De-icing Authorized Service Centers,“ noted Tony DiGiacomo, aftermarket business development manager for Collins Aerospace. “The quality of service and the excellent reputation that Yingling has established in all aspects of maintenance and service during its decades in Wichita, add another extremely attractive choice for Goodrich De-icing installations to customers in the middle of the country,” he added.
