Denver, January 10, 2018 — XTI Aircraft Company (XTI) announced today it has been invited by organizers in Kuwait to exhibit at the inaugural Kuwait Aviation Show, January 17-20. Thousands of attendees have registered for the show, where XTI will be displaying its one-third scale model of the TriFan 600 vertical takeoff airplane to investors and potential customers from around the globe, as well as industry and media representatives during the four-day event.
“The show will also target the private/charter aviation industry,” said Robert LaBelle, XTI’s Chief Executive Officer. “With Kuwait boasting one of the highest GDP per capita in the world, and one of the most well-travelled populations in the world, the opportunities are great for private jet and charter suppliers to promote their services and become more familiar with the TriFan 600.”
The Kuwait Aviation Show will be the fourth major trade show for XTI in the past seven months. In June 2017 after the Paris Air Show, XTI announced its first orders for the TriFan 600 under the company’s pre-sales program. Following Paris, XTI officially launched its prototype program at the National Business Aircraft Association trade show in Las Vegas in October, where the company received numerous additional orders and expanded its financial and strategic relationships. Following the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show in November of last year, XTI announced it had booked over 60 orders for the TriFan.
“We see the Kuwait show as the next major opportunity to attract customers and investors,” said LaBelle.
The TriFan 600 is a major breakthrough in aviation and air travel. The six-seat airplane will have the speed, range and comfort of a business jet and the ability to take off and land vertically, like a helicopter. It will travel at over 300 miles an hour, with a range of up to 1,200 miles. Using three ducted fans, the TriFan lifts off vertically and then its two wing fans rotate forward for a seamless transition to cruise speed and its initial climb. It will reach 30,000 feet in just eleven minutes and cruise to the destination as a highly efficient business aircraft.
“The TriFan 600 combines vertical takeoff with long-range, plus the speed and comfort of a business jet and a quiet, clean state-of-the-art hybrid-electric propulsion system,” said LaBelle. “There’s absolutely nothing comparable to the TriFan 600.”
