Expliseat will make its debut at MRO Americas 2025, showcasing its flagship TiSeat 2X. This marks a significant step in the company’s expansion into the North American market.
The TiSeat 2X has already been selected by Air France for its new Embraer 190 single-aisle cabins, set to enter service mid-2025.
Key Qualities of TiSeat 2X:
- TiSeat 2X is 30% lighter than competitors, providing 50% better comfort while helping reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 6% per passenger.
- TiSeat 2X is engineered with a titanium and carbon fiber composite frame, requiring fewer than 50 parts per seat and offering 10x lower direct maintenance costs (DMC).
- Airlines work directly with Expliseat to co-develop customized seating solutions, ensuring their brand identity is reflected in the cabin.
Comfort and Passenger Experience
The TiSeat 2X uses high-resilience foams for enhanced comfort and durability. The backrest is designed with additional padding, under-seat storage, a PED holder zone, dual-cup holders, and USB ports, allowing for connectivity and interactivity.
Its modular design allows airlines to configure seating options across various classes, incorporating tailored fabrics and finish to align with their brand identity.
Serving the U.S. Market
Expliseat offers an alternative to traditional seating options in the U.S. market.
“The North American regional aviation market is one of the largest in the world, yet it has historically been underserved when it comes to seating innovation. Passengers today expect a state-of-the-art travel experience, and network airlines want seamless branding across their fleets. Expliseat’s TiSeat 2X is the only solution that delivers on all fronts—enhancing passenger comfort, increasing efficiency, and driving profitability for airlines.” said JF Tessier, vice president, sales, North America at Expliseat.
Expliseat already has a presence in North America, with employees and an operators’ roster including Air Canada Jazz, Porter and Nolinor. The company also has over a decade of experience working with regional carriers outside of North America.
The Future of Aircraft Seating
“At Expliseat, we believe that the future of mobility depends on disruptive technologies that deliver immediate impact. Our ultra-lightweight seating technology, backed by over 100 patents, is already changing the industry, and we are excited to expand into the North American market. This region represents a key opportunity to bring our innovative solutions to more airlines and passengers” said Amaury Barberot, CEO, Expliseat.
Additionally, Expliseat is pioneering a circular economy approach in aviation, repurposing decommissioned seat frames to create new seats, minimizing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
