Northland Community & Technical College to Host Unmanned Aircraft Systems Live, Virtual, and Constructive Demonstration Event on Thursday, October 3
Northland Community & Technical College will host Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) demonstrations of law enforcement, emergency medical services, and fire departments that will integrate UAS and imagery applications into different relevant scenarios.
What: UAS Demonstration
- Live–Involving real participants operating real systems
- Virtual–Involving real participants engaging through simulated systems
- Constructive–Simulated actors and systems integrated with the live and virtual components
Who: Northland, Sinclair Community College, Ohio, Springfield Airfield, Ohio, Ohio Federal Research Network, University of Cincinnati, Sinclair Ohio Police Department, and Springfield Ohio Fire and EMS will participate. Pennington County Sheriff’s Department, Thief River Falls Police Department, Thief River Falls Fire Department, and Thief River Falls EMS have also been invited to take part.
Why: This event will demonstrate how UAS, Imagery and Geospatial Analysis can work together in different disciplines and to help stakeholders conceptualize how this technology can be utilized in their own fields.
When: The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. with law enforcement demonstrations followed by EMS demonstrations beginning at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon will kick off at 2:00 p.m. with fire department demonstrations.
