Have any of your Boston Logan Airport flights been canceled this summer? Flight data shows that the Massachusetts airport has had more flight cancellations than almost every other U.S. airport this summer.

According to data gathered from flight tracking website FlightAwareCNN analysts state that Boston Logan Airport had the eighth most flight cancellations out of any U.S. airport this summer. Around 3.6% of flights leaving the Boston airport from May 28 through July 13 were canceled, analysts said.

Here are the U.S. airports with the most flight cancellations this summer, along with the percentage of flight cancellations, according to CNN.

Poor weather conditions previously caused nearly 400 Boston Logan Airport flights to be either canceled or delayed on June 17.

Airlines have struggled to keep up with travel demand as people return to the skies with pandemic restrictions largely rolled back around the country. Fourth of July weekend saw some of the most cancellations and delays across the country this year. Delays and cancellations have confronted travelers as a mix of staffing shortages and labor issues ground flights by the hundreds.

Pilots and flight attendants have staged strikes in an effort for higher pay and better hours. The Air Line Pilots Association wrote in a June letter to Delta Air Lines customers that they were “disheartened” by recent travel plan disruptions and that pilots were working record overtime hours.

Specifically, Logan Airport has experienced significant staffing shortages. The Transport Security Agency is offering a $5,000 signing bonus for incoming full-time and part-time transport security officers at Boston Logan Airport in an effort to remedy staffing shortages.
