Rome — More than 200 flights were cancelled in Italy on Sunday due to a four-hour strike by airport and airline workers.
Flights within Italy were badly affected but also routes to Frankfurt, Paris, London and Zurich suffered cancellations.
Several Italian trade unions called the work stoppage, which affected air traffic control firm ENAV as well as carriers Ryanair, EasyJet und Volotea.
The dispute is over employee rights, working conditions and minimum wages.
