Tamur Goudarzi-Pour Appointed VP of Sales, The Americas, Lufthansa Group
Effective Jan. 1, Tamur Goudarzi-Pour will become vice president of sales, The Americas, Lufthansa Group. Based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in East Meadow, N.Y., Goudarzi-Pour will be responsible for the group’s passenger airline organization in North and South America, spearheading sales and marketing. He will also be instrumental in managing the commercial cooperation that the Lufthansa Group passenger airlines have with United Airlines and Air Canada under the transatlantic Joint Venture agreement. In the Americas region, the Lufthansa Group Passenger Airlines currently operate 344 weekly frequencies to 22 destinations in the U.S. and Canada and 72 weekly frequencies to 11 destinations in seven South American countries in the 2016 winter schedule.

He succeeds Jürgen Siebenrock, who has been named vice president of sales, home markets & global key account management Lufthansa Group Airlines, in charge of sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as for global corporate customers and travel agency chains.
Goudarzi-Pour joined the Lufthansa Group in 1998 as part of the company’s fast-track trainee program. As senior manager at Lufthansa’s Area Management Middle East, Africa and Southeast Europe he focused on strategic and sales promotions issues, as well as alliances and co-operations. For four years beginning in 2003, Goudarzi-Pour was Lufthansa’s general manager in Iran before becoming director for central Europe, based in Budapest, where he was responsible for 15 countries of the central and Eastern European region.
As director network planning at Lufthansa’s Munich hub from 2010 until 2014, he was responsible for aligning over 120 aircraft used in European and Intercontinental traffic for more than 20 million travelers. While in Munich, Goudarzi-Pour also served as a liaison officer for Program SCORE, the Lufthansa Group’s global restructuring initiative.
Since 2014 he’s held the position of vice president of sales in the Middle East & Africa for Lufthansa German Airlines, overseeing a sales division that encompasses more than 40 destinations in 27 countries.
Goudarzi-Pour holds a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
