American Airlines Teams with Red Cross For Hurricane Relief

American Airlines has partnered with the Red Cross, which had welcomed more than 28,000 people in shelters and anticipated the number to triple before the end of the weekend.

As Hurricane Harvey unfolds, American Airlines has activated its disaster response process.

American Airlines has partnered with the Red Cross for many years and is part of a select group of leading corporations that provide the highest level of support to American Red Cross preparedness and relief efforts.

The Red Cross has welcomed more than 28,000 people in shelters and anticipates the number will triple before the end of the weekend.

With the unique ability to activate immediately and assess critical needs during times of disaster, the Red Cross, has the infrastructure in place and relationships with local and foreign governments allowing immediate accessibility to affected areas and approved relief items. 

From August 25, 2017 through September 24, 2017, AAdvantage members can earn 10 miles for every dollar donated to the Red Cross with a minimum $25 donation. To donate, click here
