Austrian Airlines’ First Senator Lounge with New Design Opens at Vienna International Airport
On Feb. 20,, the first Austrian Airlines Senator Lounge displaying the airlines’ new design concept, opened to the public. The two main themes highlight the country of Austria, as well as individuality, and are present throughout the overall concept in all the renovated lounges thus far. Prior to this, two of Austrian’s Business Class Lounges have already been upgraded.
In line with the new design concept, real trees are a feature in the Senator Lounges. The trees depict Austrian beech trees and are preserved using a special technique. In addition to customized furniture from Austria, as well as a new textile concept highlighting individually-designed carpets and curtains, the lounges will also feature selected prints from pictures created by Austrian artists, such as Gustav Klimt.
