Frontier Airlines on Sept. 17, began non-stop service to Denver (DEN) from Albany International Airport (ALB). Frontier's first arrival was greeted with a traditional water cannon arch as it approached the terminal.
Frontier's Albany-Denver service will operate on Mondays and Fridays. Flights will depart Albany at 12:32 p.m. and arrive in Denver 4:45 p.m. Return flights will depart Denver 6:00 a.m. arrive in Albany 11:42 a.m.
On Oct. 2, Frontier Airlines will begin non-stop service between Albany and Orlando (MCO). The Orlando flight will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Beginning Nov. 17, Frontier will begin non-stop services between Albany and Fort Myers, Florida (RSW).
"The addition of ultra low-fare Frontier Airlines will offer our passengers new and significant travel options and encourage a new level of airline competition at Albany International Airport," said Rev. Kenneth Doyle, Chairman of the Albany County Airport Authority.
